1. ‘concrete - symbiosis’

Living in a city might mean that keeping a garden is not always an option, while actually there is not much more needed than two elements which are a part of the city landscape: concrete and moss.

Concrete - symbiosis offers you the possibility to take in a piece of your local flora. It also challenges you to think in a new way about nature in the city and to cherish its unnoticed treasures. The concrete biotopes can be cultivated both in- and outside, creating a new form of horticulture with an appreciation for nature taking over. Concrete - symbiosis is a joint project by designers Sara Martin Mazorra and Merel Slootheer. The project is still in a concept phase and is being developed by means of field research, 3-D prototyping and material samples.
